I picked up one of Thesehttp://www.cheaperthandirt.com/CAMP224-65451-544.html
when they were $50 and although I may have been able to eventually round this stuff up cheaper it wouldn't have been by much.
There's wasted space but all in all it's pretty good quality and is the actual name brand stuff not knock offs. I have yet to try any of it as I just unpacked it but for a gadgets guy this is a good start for a PSK minded person.

the NRA store was selling this kit minus the saw for $20. dont know if they still do.

I got one from the NRA store for $12.95 and they are looooooong gone! Should have gotten more at that price but I wasn't thunking and I'm still kicking my self to this day for it. Like bill_G siad it doesn't have the saw but you can always add it. I know a guy over at Glock Talk that modded his with a whole lot of extra gear.

I got two of them when they were $12.95. If you take out the insert that keeps everything in place you can fill them up with all kinds of stuff.

I just took a picture of my NRA kit. It has all the stuff, that I had in a Altoids tin plus the stuff the kit came with. There is room for more stuff.

The boys used the saw this weekend and I'm actually kind of impressed. The kit w/o the saw was not very appealing to me but the idea of a saw for larger stock shelters or fire seemed like a more compact version of what I was carrying before. Now it all fits in a water proof box.
I have carried a Coglin's saw and a magnesium/ferrocium bar as standard equipment for many years. Now that my son's are getting old enough to come along, I've been trying to re-vamp the survival equipment.
If you have need for only the saw they can be had for just under $30.
Not a complete test but feedback if anybody was tempted.
