Does anyone have any experience with these? I know... I don't really like what they're called, and it sounds a bit ninja-y, but living in california, I want to start carrying some simple earthquake survival equipment, and I don't want to carry an extra bag or backpack. It seems like the extra cargo pockets would really do the thing

these are what i'm talking about

my main concerns are with the quality and the fit. I want something that's relatively straight legged and baggy (5.11 is too tight around the leg).

So if anyone has any experience with these, please share

Thanks

I have no experience with them, but why dont you try getting regular bdus and sew in more pockets? that way youll have them in the exact spot you want and you can size them however you want.

Like a lot of these high-priced companies, Railriders has sales ... don't buy till you get 20% off! :D

I've got their Winter Weatherpants. Unbelievable spill I took on ice last winter, a sheet of black ice in the dark, went down hard, had to crawl to the edge of the porch to pull myself up on the pillar. Not a mark on the pants or my knee from crawling on it.

Weatherpants in one of their three versions or another have got to be the greatest hiking pants available.

I got the Versa-Tac in both weights. The mid is too heavy for warm weather but does make a great hard wear cargo. And I got the Back Country Khakis. Very casual and comfortable, even in the hottest weather. I need another pair or two of those.

I also got three short sleeved Oasis Shirts, lifesavers in the summer.

Well, my main attraction to those ultraforce pants is that they have four fully fledged cargo pockets on the legs (as opposed to the two that most have). Anyone know of any other pants that have four (or maybe even more!) ?

Also, does anyone have any experience with ultra force in general? it seems like they make a few other products like bdus and such.

The problem with lots of pockets is organizing them, filling and emptying them every day, breaking things down too finely when you aren't going for all that small stuff regularly -- you want an emergency pack pocket, not an EDC pocket.

Regular BDU cargo pockets will take a Spec-Ops Brand Dry-Cell On-Board or Mini Cargo Pocket Organizer. Pack your emergency kit in something like these and move it all in and out of cargoes easily, or slide it on a belt.

yeah, i was planning to split my stuff into two pouches that i would put into the two lower cargo pockets so that i can easily move it around. and to be honest, i'm one of those guys who wears the same pants for a few weeks, so i won't really have problems with having to switch out my stuff.

those bdu organizer things are pretty cool. i'll look into those
