Anyone familiar with Ultra-X knives or company? Saw them on Knifecenter. Seems KC is getting several China knives I've never heard of. Are Chinese knife companies popping up like weeds these days?

They're all over other distributors websites too.
I'm trying to stay clear of them myself.

They look to be pretty generic run-of-the -mill liner locks. Nothing looks to be a copy but nothing looks terribly original. I have concern when I see knives under one brand claim to have D2, 440 and AUS8 steel. AUS8 is particularly dubious given the point of origin.

I think you can do better with a CIVIVI, Vanguard, Bestech or QSP for a few dollars more. Consider even a Kershaw, Spyderco or Byrd. These Ultra X knives feel like an eafengrow that isn’t a clone.

If it's made in Communist China avoid it at all costs unless you like police states and brutal dictatorships.

Is this a review meant for "Knife Reviews and Testing" forum, or a rant meant for "Political Arena"?

Never seen a knife from Ultra-X, but I gotta say I probably won't.

There's known good stuff in that price range, stuff with warranties and sound track record. I think I'll stick with that.
