Hey guys, long time no post!!
Here is a very special tanto that I just finished up.
This is my new lighter version of my Shinobi Tanto. This one also features and Unokubi Zukuri style spine. The new version I use .220" thick CPM 3V as apposed to my normal .295". This makes for huge difference in balance and overall weight, which makes this blade very lively in hand.
The tsuba on is zirc with contrasting textures on the edges/flats, and nice "oil slick" heat anodizing. When zirc is heat anodized the resulting oxide is extremely durable!
The menuki is a beautiful pc of Timascus rounded and polished in my signature "emperors node" design.
The hand stitched sheath has a Warthog leather front and Beaver tail trim.
It also features a hand turned zirc belt stud.
The 12" blade is of course CPM 3V.
Thanks for looking!
