interesting video. lots of information about ultrasonic cleaners and ultrasonic knifes. I know there were lots of questions about ultrasonic cleaners for cleaning knives which seems like it would work fine for lightly soiled knives. seems costly for few knives.

let's hook up a delica to it, or maybe a Medford lol

I've never seen this guys channel before today, just subscribed. mad diy channel.

bonus extra another guy that takes things apart ... electric knife sharpener.

BTW not work safe. language.

forgive me for any distaste for these vids if any. just wanted to share something I found interesting. figured other knife nuts would be interested too.

Ultrasonic cleaners are not expensive. I paid @$55 at Harbor Freight for mine. It works great for knives, depending on the scale material and the solution used for cleaning. It can remove rust, and gets out crud you cant get any other way. It can remove dye, disintegrate rubber, and other nasty tricks too. I use the ultrasonic a number of ways based on what the project looks like.

It is also, bar none, the best gun cleaner ever. And hard to beat for jewelry, fishing lures, and small machined parts.

Maybe you can tell us about what this YouTube guy is saying. I'll pass on watching.

So...what is his premise? What is he getting at?

And diamond pull through electronic sharpeners are too aggressive. Don't need to watch some guy take one apart to know that.

I have a Small Harbor freight USC. .

A lot of knives that I buy here get a dip
in the tank because people like selling DIRTY knives.

They get a complete tear down.

Hot water and either of these..
Dawn dish soap or Simple Green.
As many cycles as it take..

A GB1 I bought needed a dip.
Even after taking a toothbrush to the parts it still reeked of cigarettes.
15 minutes in the tank... Clean, Smell free.

That is pretty cool info. That question comes up pretty often around here..."My knife smells like cigarette smoke. What do I do?"

Did't even make us watch a 28 minute YouTube vid!

Thanks!!!
