ulu

it is recognised by the a.m.a for people with the use for one hand . but thanks that was informative.

Everyone should have an Ulu, one of greatest utility knives ever, it slices, it dices, it chops, it skins, it scoops, it's a spatula, it's a pizza cutter, it's a scraper, it's so many things.

Combine it with a curved bottom wooden bowl and you got a food prep machine, the possibilities are endless.

T. Erdelyi nice post. I really want to get myself one of those. ;)

Ulu's are very popular in the far north, often carried by Inuit women and some Inuit men. If an ulu is good enough for arctic bushcraft, then they're ... good enough.

i dig the wood plate. got to get one . how do you keep it clean. soapy water . then just dry it?

You can clean it with salt and wipe it out with a fresh damp wash cloth, I've washed it with a mild soap mixed with water, rinse and pat dry, never let it sit in water or put it in a dish washer it'll ruin the wood and cause it to separate.

Multi- purpose woman's knife of the Inuit.Skinning, fileting ,chopping, etc.

Dude I want one of those. If I ever want to stop buying cutlery I am going to have to quite bladeforums. This kind of stuff keeps popping up and invading my wallet.

+1!

I was given a Dancing Man Ulu by a member here in trade for some custom grinding.

My wife kinda raised an eyebrow at it like it was a joke.

It has become our go-to kitchen tool. Life wouldn't be the same without it. ;)

My mother wanted a kitchen knife, I got her the same model as this one. She really liked both the knife and cutting board. The ulu is a great pizza slicer too.
