So, I have been lucky enough to acquire a couple of these "little boy's" in my short time collecting (obsessing) over Chris Reeve Knives, as I have stated in other posts as well as displaying my Umfaan Avatar they are my favorite knife. But to be honest I don't really know a heck of a lot about them, other than what I have read on the internet and seen on YouTube. I know they were only made for a few years, but how many were made? Were they all "Decorated" or could they be purchased in the plain finish as with other CRK's? Inquiring minds and even mine want to know...
Thanks in advance for any information and or commits.

They are available in plain, I have a left hand one. It sure is a cute little thing.

Wow, so not only were they made in plain finish they also made them for lefties! Thanks Scott! I did not know that. Of course you you cold write volumes of things that I don't know about most anything, especially about CRK!!
How about some pictures? PLEASE!! :D

Lots of folks mention the Umfaan when the discussion of a "Medium" Sebenza is broached. A popular opinion is that the Umfaan is the "true" Small Sebenza while the "official" Small Sebenza is really the "Medium". I'd tend to agree. The one Umfaan I had was small - like, Mnandi-small - and quite stout for it's size compared to its contemporaries.

I on the other hand don't care for them. Too large to use when picking my teeth. And so small i have to tell my victims to hold still until I'm finished.

oh man, umfaan
my "ideal" small-backup edc to my small sebenza, would love one to rotate my backup 85mm SAK I have now

a dream to have both the mnandi and umfaan produced at the same time?

maybe one day I'll find one (or 2?) in plain RH
