Which of these knives do you think would make the better EDC? Why??

Thanks!

Jeff

The Mnandi's extra size would give it the edge as an EDC. The Umfaan is a great little pocket knife but might not have the size you need for every task.

I second what StJames said. I also think that a small would be even better. A small wood inlay would be the ultimate!:D

A small wood Damascus would be the ultimate!;)

However I still think the Mnandi is a great buy as it is a wood inlay knife for a great price.

The small wood is amazing, but $250 extra, just for the inlay? Its worth it to me, but heck, that is a BIG mark up.

The Mnadi for about $300 gives you the inlay, so for that reason it is a bargain. Oh and its a great looking knife as well.

I never really liked the Umfaan , it looks too small for me!

I would get the Mnandi.
It's bigger, and more practical. Appears to be more ergonomic. It's much better looking, and has wood inlays.
I thought the Mnandi was supposed to be a "pocket knife", but it's got a clip. Wish it had a thumbstud, as well.
There's one on the FS forum that is $275 right now.

So far, my small Seb has not allowed me to purchase it.
Someone please buy this knife before I give in to temptation:p

I think your question has been answered but, the Mnandi's extra size would give it the edge as an EDC. I carry a Umfaan as part of my EDC and it is a great LITTLE pocket knife. The Umfaan is small, but for some tasks (mail, office work) it is just right. Since you don't have either my advice to you is Mnandi.
