i am thinking of get a Umfaan,

question is will it fit in the watch pocket
on blue jeans?

since it doesn't have a clip will it stay
in there securly r does it stick out a bit?

later, mark

The Umfaan doesn't quite fit all the way into the watch pocket on a pair of Levi's 501's, the but sticks out from the real hex head screw on. It does stay in fairly securely, but I am pretty careful with a $300.00 knife.

Mark,

It depends on the jeans.

I wear Harley Biker Blue Jeans with the watch pocket on the Left Hand side.

They have larger deep watch pockets and fit the Umfaan great.

My watch pockett is deep enough to cover the whole thing but it is a loose fit so I just use the pocket sheath til' I get around to getting a Graley sheath for it

I carry mine in 501's and I've never had a problem. I guess if you were doing cartwheels all the time you might be worried.

I love mine and have not had a problem with it laying flat in the watch pocket of Levis (not sure of the number, but it is not a loose fit). I can see how a vertical carry might not be secure. It is also perfect for carry in an office.

Toughest small knife I have had the chance to carry and use.

I got an Umfaan from Tom Mayo at Blade with plain (undecorated) scales. When I got it from him it was in a William Henry leather pouch with pocket clip on it. I have been carrying it in that and it works fine. I would recommend getting one of those to carry it in. The Umfaan is a great little knife.
