That wasn't your standard, run of the mill Umfaan. It had a blued, raindrop damascus blade, star sapphire, and a nice graphic down the slab and around the sapphire.

I finally saw a very small picture of it. Yes, it iS beautiful, the graphic IS gorgeous. And it has a sapphire, wow! That is really something!! But, I do not have that kind of cash. I am still stuck on it is: $2,000!! OMG!!

Starting bid = $499 and it's been "lightly carried." IMO. . . . .steep.

For $500 - $600. . . .I'd seek a custom maker or pick up a very nice small or large Sebbie (i.e., woody, graphic, etc.).

I'm not into the Umfaan thing. I do enjoy small knives, but prefer slipjoints. For $500 - 600, I could obtain a real nice. . . . .well. . . . .
