Hey guys some of you know I've kinda popped up here in the last few months or so and I've learned lots on everything CRK in the last year. I've read a lot of history and watched all the shop tour vids and the Exquisite Blade vids. I've been keeping an eye out for rare and discontinued models and have managed to score a large reg in bg42 and a small reg in s30v. But today I found a real nifty little baby of a sebbie, an umfaan! Can't wait till it gets here to see what they're like! Anybody else have one of these or owned one at some time or other?

Those are cool little knives! I wish I would have bought 1 or 2 many years ago when they were still in production.

Congrats!

Nice find, they don't come up often for sale! I don't have one, but will get one eventually:)

If you got the numbered PP, I'm Lime Green Jello!!! Awsome!!!!

Benefits of being the old guy. If I was still young and had the disposable income I would have snatched that PP on the bay earlier this week.

Congrats. I seen that umfaan, but opted for a large 21 cocobolo basketweave damascus instead :)

Thanks for the pic! That is what I remember :D

I want an umfaan..seems like the prices are getting pretty high with no end in sight.

I know! There was one this afternoon on the exchange for $800 and it's gone. They are awesome little knives. It's a sebenza that was picked before it was ripe😃. The lockup is fairly late but it's not sticky so I ain't complaining, and the blade is perfectly centered. It is surprisingly solid for how small it is. It seems like they would have been a pain to manufacture as small as they are. The only thing I would like is a mini clip so that I could clip it to a shirt pocket.

I seen it on the exchange..I was close to biting, but then decided that I could shop around for a bit more. They do turn up now and then :)
Keeping my eye out for one..Trying to unload a few things at the moment to help with this and one other thing. I do have some aspirations that should turn out well. Here's a hint...Study one of the last pics I posted today

As far as manufacture..the only issue I see with that one may be the blade grinding as that isn't my specialty..everything else is just a part and many parts get far smaller than the Umfaan ;)

Looks like Flyingjon's Umfaan is coming my way. I'll give it a good home, can't wait to get it. Thanks Jon!
