I check the BM webpage and I see that it has been discontinued? (Sorry glockman99 :( ) What else has been written off the BM lineup?

I hate it for Glockman. I felt the same way when Spyderco discontinued the Wegner. Of course I got lucky and the Wegner was resurrected by Blade-tech and was an improvement over the original.

If it is discontinued I would recommend buying a couple of spares.

Yea, I know about the new 707, but it's not a TSEK (More sheeple friendly and utility oriented than the AFCK)

The newer version is pretty nice, but the handles look kind of ugly, particularly the inlays. Any word on why the 805 got discontinued? It seemed relatively popular, I can think of more expendable models very easily.

It's hard to believe that the 805 was DC'd by Benchmade, but its' true...Damn.:(.

It's STILL my favorite folder, 'tho...

I'm not holding my breath on Benchmade bringing-back the 805, but if they did, I'd like to see it offered along with a "Mini" version (2.75" blade) as a companion to the full-sized 805.

I hate the hear it's discontinued, I always preferred the 806, but I liked the 805 and believe it was very popular. I don't like the thought of the 940 being scaled back either.

I was disappointed to hear it was dc'd, too. I had just gotten my first one, finally. I've wanted one for a looonnng time, but the right trade never came up. Now...I dunno if I'll be able to grab some before they are all gone or not.

Have you noticed the LE 805 in M2 with a wooden inlay?

Man, that was sold inbetween two weeks.

I hope something. Maybe something that looks the same and just has update steels, or something. I like 440c, but maybe some vg-10 or s30v or even just ats-34.

I found nothing wrong with the design, myself. I don't know that I'd have them actually change anything, aside from mebbe the steel.

I, also, am not a knife designer.

that's too bad... i really like the 805. have two of them and they work great.
