Umnamzaan pivot question. Old? New? What's the difference?

Sorry if this is lame. I'm pretty interested in acquiring an Umnamzaan, and just want to be a bit more educated about the pivot. There's an old and a new, but I really just want to know about the differences between them. Sure, I can see the visual difference, but how about operationally? Are there real differences, and does one work differently as far as adjusting pivot action, etc?...

I'm kind of new to CRK, and this seemed like a good place to ask. Thanks in advance for any help.

Did a search and found a thread on just this topic, so I feel a little more educated.
Good info on this site. Additional or updated info would still be appreciated, but I feel a little better about proceeding. Thanks all!

The biggest differences to me (I've had several of both styles) is the newer one is easier to adjust and disassemble/reassemble, the older one (to me) feels better in the hand, specifically in certain grips where I "pinch" the pivot. Additionally I think the old looks better. And while it's likely completely academic, the older one has a wider area of contact on the frame, so theoretically it might be stronger in a design sense.

If your talking about the 2010 or earlier models, The lockbar cutout has a much smaller nailnick (on the lock) because of presentation scale cutout was minimal. Later the handle cutouts would be slightly altered so disengaging the lock would be much easier on the thumbs as there is more contact with the lock on your thumb.

Other differences:
1) Pivot was changed so it can be dissasembled with a normal tool vs the special tool on the older pivots. (so its easier to dissasemble/ adjust.
2) Lock disk stop was added to prevent over extending the lock. first models were plain and later an CR logo were added to them. Apparently this may have been added to make sure the lock was not iver extended i intentionally by some customers to "make the knife easier to open". This in it itself would cause a number of problems such as knife desingaging, warranty issues, crk fixing issues, and reputation based on false accusations being spread toward crk... and other problems i will not get into detail with. I assume making the change just solved lots of problems (of lock alterations). Note the lock bar stop is not a stabalizer , its only purpose is to stop the lock from being overextended. Nothing is wrong with their locks of any umnumzaan

Minor changes:
1)Some cutouts or ergonomics have changed insignificatly that unless you conpare both side by side you may not notice.
2) steel was changed from s30v to s35vn. Some current models heat treatment have been increased to 59-60 HRC (previosuly be 58-59 HRC).

Notes:
To someone new as yourself this information may seem like way to much to grasp or remember at first so dont worry to much about it. CRK is always making small changes to their knives.
All generations are great knives and the only difference noticable is the larger pivot and absence of a lock bar stop on old models. Get the model you like and or think looks "cool". I'd like to mention that you need a special tool for the older models (for the larger pivot).
