Umnum lube question

For those of you with an Umnum or Inkosi...do you lube the ceramic ball on the lockbar? It seems like it would be easier to overcome the detent but might cause a problem with slippage on the lockbar/tang interface? Does CRK take a position on this? Any help is appreciated.

I usually put a little on the blade where the detent tracks on every framelock. I dont feel the difference in required pressure to overcome the detent is significant.
Ive had a few framelocks that developed a gritty and rough feel. A little lube on the detent track and they were back to smooth.
Use it sparingly and you shouldnt get any on the lock/tang.

I avoid putting lube directly on the ceramic ball. I use a q-tip to put a very small film of grease on the detent track (as mentioned above). Nothing more than a slight coating. This applies to both my large and small Inkosis and the Umnumzaan. It works well.
