Umnumzaan glass breaker

Just the guy in the video, I think. That looked like a subway door.

I think most folk are in no hurry to mar the finish on their $400 knife, but it clearly works. Nice to know.

Nice, good to know it will come in handy in time of of a emergency.

It looked more like a Lincoln rear window, just before the C-pillar. I hope that was his car......

Something tells me captain superiority complex didn't like someone that parked near him, that is most definitely a car, and appears to be in a parking lot around other cars.

I haven't tried it on any tempered glass my self but it worked just fine on some old regular house window glass I had kicking about.

Also I wouldn't do it like that guy in the vid, he could easily have put his hand through the window there.
You are better off standing with your back to the car using your forarm as a brace against the car when you
hit the window, that way you can keep you face away from any small bits of glass that might fly out as well.

I'd like wo see how the butt end of a Sebenza works in this application. I wonder if the slight "corner" would be enough of a pressure point.

He also did it in the center of the window,I have always been told to do it at the weakest point of the window, the corner.

I also noticed that after the first hit you can see two distinct marks on the window...
One from the glass breaker and the other would be from the area on the titanium handle (where the thumb stub would rest at in the opened position)...would probably be hard to avoid hitting this area as it extends out almost the same distance as the breaker itself...seems like it would be easy to mess up the titanium in this area after a few hits?

How often do you plan on using the glass breaker on your knife? And how often out of those situations would a small blemish on a replaceable/refinish-able pocket knife matter?

Dont yet have a Umnumzaan.....its next on my list, I promise:D I would think if you had to use the glasbreaker on the Umnumzaan, it was a situation that called for it and could have been life threatening, a ding on the titanium, even though it could be fixed by CRK, would just add character and make it even more Yours !!!
