Umnumzaan lockup. Is this too late?

Is this normal lockup for an almost brand new Umnumzaan, never carried, never used?

If you look at where the ceramic ball contacts the blade it's locking up at about 50%. It always looks later than it actually is. The two that I used to own were both similar. Looks pretty typical.

When I got my first one I thought it was out of spec too, the ceramic interface throws you off!
