Tried to order some -006 O-rings as per recommendation from Josh K Josh K in another Umnum thread, got this email this morning.

"Thank you for considering McMaster-Carr for your purchase, but we have cancelled your order. Due to the cost of complying with extensive US export regulations, McMaster-Carr accepts international purchases only from our established international customers.
Tina"

So that's not very fun, is there anyone here willing to sell/post me a few or a bag? I live in the land of Oz, would really appreciate it. Thanks

That's really annoying. M Mick_1KRR give me your email and I'm happy to post a handful to you gratis. If you want a whole bag or anything else I can order and reship at cost.
You're a champion, thanks mate, i'm more than happy to send some $. Email -

Thanks

Pretty annoying "service" from McMaster-Carr. I don't know if this part is available overseas from Amazon, but I'm going to post an Amazon link to the tried and true Viton o-ring that people have been posting in this forum for years so people can check this out for future reference. Current Amazon price is US$6.55 for 100, which is enough for quite a few lifetimes with spares to mail to folks here.

Good link

On one hand there's business reasons to do certain things. Maybe every order requires human review, maybe it requires export paperwork, I don't know and neither do you. It sucks, but I'm not going to hang them for not doing business the way I would like them to do business.

Maybe the OP could have this sent to him, and distribute them to his fellow CRK fans down under. There's a facebook group just for CRK fans in Oz.

Looks like someone decided to sign my email up for a bunch of porn stuff, thanks to whoever that was.

US export control regulations are complex and time consuming and change all the time. What can be shipped one day, may not be allowed in the future. My firm has to verify any export item is legal, even if it was successfully shipped last month. The profit margin on the O-rings is probally insufficient to justify processing your order.

Hello Lone Wolfe, Do you have a link for the facebook page for CRK Oz as I couldn't find it?

Yes. Honestly, I can easily understand that and I don't want to hang them or even knock them. A lot of businesses have gone to minimum orders, or taken other steps like changing shipping charges, to deal with the cost of small orders and shrinking margins. At one point, IIRC, MidwayUSA upped their minimum order to $25, which wasn't a lot if you were talking about ammo or a scope, but was out of reach if you just needed a few springs or some screws. We adapt...

Possibly just pennies...
