I just recently purchased an umnumzaan with the old pivot (my favorite). But I have been unable to find a tool kit anywhere online. Anyone know a website that still carries them or if chris reeve will send me one? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you're out of luck. I broke the pins off my pivot tools a few weeks ago. I ended up buying some snap ring pliers from my local hardware store. I'd say that's your best option at this point.

Anyone ever try one of the tools for removing screw on watch backs?

yeah its looking like im either going to have to make one or get some snap ring pliers like you did.

Only thing about those pliers is that you can scratch the pivot if you're not careful. When I get some time I'm going to try putting shrink tubing on the snap ring tips but I need to find a size that works.

That guy? He never comes around anymore...pshhh..you will never find him.

To be honest, I have to make more of them. Someone from Florida took the last two no so long ago.

In the meantime, if you want or need these tools, please send me a pm. the mods frown on selling outside of teh buy/sell/trade areas.

I can give you all a hint though; Most people do NOT need two of these tools. One is usually enough to do the task at hand. It's fairly rare that you would need two. :)

Yeah that 'someone from Florida' was me :) Have to say that bhyde makes a very nice takedown tool...and he's right, I really only needed one but the way I misplace the tools I need I'm glad I got two!

If you were to sell anymore here you would need to upgrade your membership to craftsman.

Thanks for the info..it has been so long since I have sold any of these tools, I just about threw the balance of them in the trash..I will look into the membership upgrade.
