Umnumzaan Question

I received my first Umnumzaan today. What a knife. I was wondering if the rubber cushions on the pin stops wear out or deteriorate over time. If so, are these a rubber o-ring you can buy at the hardware store, or does CRK have to replace them? Thanks in advance.

Iv'e owned my umnum for about a year and a half and while they stretched some they have yet to fall off or disintegrate. I believe they are made of a poly urethane which is some pretty tuff stuff so you should have no worries

Easily replaced. I replaced mine with glow in the dark

Hey chogue1980, I believe you've posted some pictures showing thoes GITD rings. What size are they and where did you get them?

As for your question dwain, Heather at CRK said if mine wore out she'd mail me some. Which, BTW... has anyone ever noticed the customer service at CRK and that they are not only the best knife company, but just nice people all together. I wish they were my neighbors , I digress...

As soon as I find out (hopefully from chogue1980) what size they are, I'm replacing mine with blue and doing a blue lanyard. I wear alot of blue, so it's fitting.;)

BUT, as also mentioned, they will strech out a bit, so that when you open it the o-rings will appear pushed foward a little. I don't believe they'll dry rot, but they'll strech.

I got them off ebay. I'll see if I can find the size and post up. they arent as heavy duty as the factory ones, but still hold up pretty well.
