Umnumzaan Satin Finished Swedge?

I just picked up a Wilson combat Startac Umnumzaan (new pivot, April 2014 birthdate) and noticed that the finish on the harpoon swedge at the tip is satin finished while the rest of the blade is stonewashed. I'm thinking the swedge on the previous umnumzaan I owned was stonewashed like the rest of the blade, but I got rid of that one long ago and my memory could be faulty. Is this typical for current Umnumzaan's, or did I get an anomaly? I got the knife in a trade and it came with the box, card and all the rest of the CRK goodies so I don't think it's a fake.

They have always been like that, I have never seen a blade with full tumbled finsh. I have had a few Umnumzaans in my time and they have all had a belt finish swedge. :)

yup, The swedge is ground after the finish on the blade faces.

Some people grind on the swedge a bit more (you could perhaps call this sharpening or even polishing), and that may give it a more subtle appearance (unless you polish it considerably).

Enjoy, the swedge was my favorite component of the Umnumzaan.

Thanks for the input y'all. I think my memory of the previous 'zaan was a bit faulty. I do love the swedge.
