Almost done giving my umnum the scotch brite treatment! Using a USED green scotchbrite pad as was suggested to me in my previous thread and it seems to be working really well:thumbup:
I also bought some '0000' steel wool but am not sure whether I should use it or not since it already looks pretty great with just the scotch brite IMO. Any suggestions on whether or not I should finish with the steel wool?
Will get some proper pics up when I finish!

I don't think the 0000 steel wool is going to add/help to what the scotchbrite has already. If it was my Zaan I'd leave it alone.

Great job. Do do know how long you spent with the SB?

It's hard to tell from your pics, I think the finish on yours is lighter than mine. You might have used more pressure on the SB than I did.

Thanks! I'll definitely get some better pics up soon. It didn't take much time at all, I'd say less than 20 mins per scale. As I mentioned I used a used scotch brite pad and made sure it was always wet.

Looks good, but DO NOT use steel wool. It will leave tiny (microscopic) particles of steel impregnated into the titanium, which could later show up as little rusty dots.
