It seems when I looked for a umnumzaan 6-8 mos ago they were plentiful and around $450. Now they are sold out everywhere and $500. Is there a production back log, slow down, “supply shortage”? You guys that have the Zaan do you carry and use it a lot? If I buy and use it and it’s not for me and I decide to sell it do they resell well?
Thanks

Where did you see them plentifully? Even when I wasn't looking for them, I would occasionally get a 'now in stock' alert, and check out of curiosity to find that it was immediately out of stock. My Zaan is my primary large carry, and I prefer it over the large 31. They sell for about $650 on ebay, which would net you about $60-$70 in profit.

lol to be fair that one is more of a collectors item. I wouldn't be surprised if a new one would sell in the 550-600 range - similar to the upcharge on eBay (less their selling fees).

It seems like there is always a shortsge of that knife to me. It's like everything else prices keep going up.

CRK raised the price...so the secondary market did, as well (even the people that bought before said increase).
Last I looked, ordering direct from CRK comes with a 6 year wait. The dealers still get them, likely on standing orders; but they go quickly. With the supply being short, the resellers take advantage.

I bought one recently - fresh out of Idaho, via a small dealer - the action was disgraceful. It improved after a much needed cleaning; but I was put off enough by it that I just put it back in the box.

Wow! Regarding plentiful. I meant I saw them on a couple websites several mos. (6-8 or so) ago. Thanks for the input so far
