Umnumzaan Treatment

Has anyone scotchbrite-ed or steel wool-ed an Umnumzaan? I'd love to see pics. I think the 2-tone effect of the flats and the recesses would be interesting.

Jdj211- if you scotchbrite CRK's, they'll lose that feel. On the startac umnum shown, it really doesn't make a difference because of the milling work.
 
that blade looks awesome! but yeah doesnt really fit the handle, scothbrite would be one option i really think it would look cool, but yeah it does get alittle slicker in the feel when u do that
 
Just wanted to comment on the awesome Umnum.
I think scotch briting and anodizing the handles would look great with that blade.
And you'd have the darker grooves.
Would look really great. =]

I agree, a scotchbrite finish with that blade would look really good!, just start out very lightly..a little goes a long way with the scotchbrite treatment

I wetsanded with 300 then 600 and this was the result. I wanted to leave a little bit of the factory finish so that it wasnt as slippery as a scotchbrite finish.
