I received the CRK Umnumzaan customized by Wilson Tactical - I'm pretty pleased so far: fit and finish are flawless, the blade has no plays and it's very sharp, perfect lock.
The shape of the blade grew on me really quick - initially the harpoon swedge seemed a little excessive, then..if offered to keep it or get rid of it, I'd keep it, it just looks right now.
It opens and closes pretty easily with both hands (it takes a little exercise if you're used to thumbholes) and it's pretty quiet also thanks to the O-rings (I read somewhere that the system would work without them too and they are anyway supposed to last fairly).
I find the Wilson grip effective and nice to see and I like how they reshaped the lock bar too to make it less blocky.
The clip had a very little play vertically to the grip even tightening the screw, but I was anyway planning on removing it.
I'll get from CRK the maintenance kit, the grease and maybe the Ti inserts to replace the clip - it would be nice if they were offering a pouch too for the Umnumzaan, I'm following a forum member suggestion and using a Benchmade one, but I'd buy a microfiber CRK pouch.

Regards

You mean there is a gap between the clip and body of the knife? It is super easy to bend the clip. Similar to your Um', there was a little gap when the blade was open on my small Insigno, and the noise it made bothered me some, so I did it to mine.

Congrats on your new knife! Those Wilson Combat Umnumzaans look amazing.

Thanks -
I cannot remember if there was a gap, but when opening and closing the knife I could feel the clip moving under my fingers as if it was able to pivot (very little) around the screw.
And yes, the Umnumzaam Combat is amazing.

Sure - it's a microfiber black pouch a Benchmade 710 I bought some time ago came with; it seems like this one (hope it's fine to link to dealers):

As I said I would like a microfiber bag with CRK logo or at least sterile - the issue is that the existing ones are usually made for digital cameras, MP3 players etc., hence are too big.

Does CRK have inserts for the hole left after removing the clip? How much are they?

Just for scale size comparison:

Yeah, the 'zaan is a lot nicer than the others shown. Probably the closest, precision-wise, is the Buck 172 Mayo TNT - but there is a world of differences between them. Congratulations to the OP - great knife!

To the previous poster - 'Phooey!'. I guess mine must've 'happened'.
