'Tis the season to be blessed!! A sweet young postie rang my doorbell, and asked me to sign for a package!! And from this ratty, old box (a disguise!) spilled some delightful surprises!!
Two incredible works of cutlery, some cards and beads!! Cards of greeting: beads so I needn't worry; and two knives that zinged my heart!!!An exquisite 13cm. Laguiole by Jerome Latreille, with carbon fiber handles, and an Opinel No.8-sized, hand-forged knife by Davide Steri!!!! If you appreciate French knives, these tick the Holy Grail boxes!!
I had to sit down and ponder what a person does to deserve such Joy!!!

The Steri knife has an interesting blade!! It's made in san mai with two layers of old iron and a edge in C130 German high carbon steel from Achim Wirtz!
I honed it to razor sharpness on my diamond hone I got from Tony Bose - I feel like I am bumbling around in Royalty!! Wirtz, Steri, Bose and Jean-Marc!!
I am humbled!
