A lot can be said about companies. Some good, some bad, some so-so. When it comes to the Buck Company, we here, all seem to have a pretty good opinion. That is as it should be. We like the products; in fact, the consensus is that the stuff stands head and shoulders above any competition. Good company, good product. But, let me tell you something boys and girls, there is much more to the story. The genius in their management style shows in its ability to hire the right people. I recently dealt with them. Id sent some knives in to be sharpened up. They were in pretty sad shape. Not only dull in edge, but dull in appearance as well. They had a bunch of scrapes and scratches, bearing witness to the fact that these knives were tools. That they had been working for the past 20 to 40 years, not sitting in a safe, was obvious at first glance. Joe took the time and trouble to correspond with me concerning model variations, and Im very grateful for that. Dealing with an employee that actually knows the product line is like a breath of fresh air in todays environment. But the real miracle was the work done by whoever got handed the package to actually do the job. This unknown person(s) had to approach the assignment as if I was kin folk. To say it was beautiful work is a gross understatement. The end result exceeds all possible expectations. I have no hesitation to go on a worldwide media and say thank you to the rank and file employees of Buck for performing as true craftsman. Thank you one and all for your efforts. You are appreciated.
