Unable to post on Strongest Folding Knife thread......there is no reply button lower right. Signed in several times. When I view other threads the reply button is there. THtread is not closed so.....what gives ?

You don't get to reopen it. The discussion has been had in over 40 pages worth of bickering, sarcasm, and basic level trolling. "There is no further knowledge to be gained by the second kick of a mule".
You were asked several serious questions and you chose to ignore them. What possible benefit can you gain at this point that has not already been discussed in the previous 2 threads totaling well over 30 pages? Seriously.

If you read the thread you will see that I treated everyone with respect and went out of my way not to respond sarcastically even though many crossed that line with me several times. The proof that I have about my Patented Knife locking system FFK..... FEA/simulations done in Autodesk Inventor and Solidworks cost me alot of $. The members have been very clear in implying that these software programs are crap and their results don't mean anything. Every major Knife and Multitool company uses Solidworks everyday ! I guess the are saying that their results are crap too ! I have been extremely clear that there is more work to be done fine tuning and streamlining the FFK. Closing this thread because you or a few others disagree with the design/premise, or that I'm not able to spend the money to provide you with answers to your questions this very minute is ridiculous ! USA...Free speech....Open this thread.

Wrong. Privately owned forum. You have no expectation of free speech. If you want to go and drum up business for your invention on a public corner, you have every right to do so.

I was going to post a CAD pic of FFK with a modified thumb lever that serves better as a left bolster. Wanted feedback on that change. There were members that posted neutral to positive comments on the mechanism. They might have been interested. I guess they will be silenced too.

You were asked at least a dozen direct questions, by none other than existing knife makers, you ignored the questions. How can you expect to get feedback when you do not cooperate? Being civil and chivalrous is one thing, but participating by being the second half of your own requested Q & A is also a necessity. That is what you don't seem to understand. I'd wager if you had taken the time to acknowledge the members here that took interest in your idea, your discussion would have been much more fruitful. So, after 40 some odd pages, what have you gained as far as feedback? Surely something has to have caused the light to go on? That is what I do not understand. You kept arguing the same point over and over, but failed to address the questioned posed to you.

Read the thread, if I did not answer a question , it was because either it had enough sarcasm to fill a room, or I did not have the answer.

If some of you want to spend the $, take your folding knives with G10 or macarta or FRN handles and clamp their blades in a vise sideways(flat side up), then

hang 2 Olympic 45Lbs plate(90lbs). Then watch.....heck....have some wine & cheese while your at it. How's that for sarcasm....I'm a quick learner.

Apparently it's the best knife for digging holes...
If you stop now, you can recover in a couple of weeks.
If you go further down this path, well, I've seen meltdowns before.

Stabman's right. Enough already. You already dodged the potentially fatal bullet that was the manner you opened the original thread. You dodged the potentially fatal bullet that was the manner you acted in the thread (as RevDevil has been relating). And the potentially fatal bullet that is your near-mod sass kvetching is in the air now.

Come back in a while, ask for feedback in the Makers forum and accept it, and deal with the questions that those makers/users/potential customers pose.

Just reopen it in Whine & Cheese sure it will do better their.

Very few threads get closed there, is an option

Is that a question or a statement, if it's a statement than its false because as has been said by many in the thread you never answered the questions, to say you don't know here is the first time I've seen you admit you didn't know instead of either repeating yourself or changing the subject.

Great advice, you should listen before it's too late. Again this is a private forum read the TOS you agreed to when you signed up for a membership, this is Kevin's house, not FFKs, you could always start your own forum and make your own rules.

Your fate is in your own hands, best of luck.

You first.

That's good. Pick up an English book sometime.

Gotta say he doesn't give up gotta give the guy that no matter what else happens . Determination can be good or bad I have to respect it either way.

Mike,
Yes even I gave into some sarcasm since you wouldn't answer some real basic questions like What's the difference if you clamp the blade and weight the handle or clamp the handle and weight the blade?

You claimed there was some big difference but wouldn't tell us what?

You can start a thread if you like? Strongest Folding Knife III in General discussion or maybe Whine & Cheese would be a good idea!

We are waiting for you to explain the problem that your locking system fixes? I for one really want to hear what it is?

Just to make sure you understand? Whine & Cheese is a forum where most anything goes!

So Bring Your Helmet
