Have been trying to post a new thread since the weekend - the page always times out. Same goes for post previews as well.

I was able to start a thread in Production Knives (Individual) without a problem. My membership is due for renewal but should still be good through tomorrow the 14th.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Start with a single sentence, and when it goes through edit the rest of it in there.
If that fails, log out of the forums completely, clear your browsers cookies and temp internet files, close your browser and log back in.

Just tried everything you said - looks like I can make short one-line posts but still not able to edit in the full text.

The page still times out.

This seems to be fixed

I cant post new topics in the exchange. Have been trying all day.

Anybody working on this, I still can't post more than a few words at a time.

That's unfortunate. Still can't post more than a few words. Tried everything Rev devil suggested. Still no go.

Still can't post new threads in the Exchange this morning. Any news?

I was finally able to post a more substantial thread - had to edit in a small piece at a time. Still do not have full functionality (cannot access advanced edit options).

Very strange.

Can a mod please change my thread title here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1255224-Curtiss-F3-Diamond-Pattern-Scales

Should be "For Sale or Trade: Mosier, Hoback, Clark, Karroll, Curtiss, and Graham".

Thanks in advance.

I tried, but I keep getting "this page can't be displayed" when I click the advanced button. Definitely something wrong.
Next time... please report the your request to the backend, by using the little triangle in the lower left corner of every post where it may be seen and acted on more easily, please.

Thanks for trying Karda. I managed to find a workaround for the time being.

I've noticed this a couple times, while responding to another person's thread. I was unable to post anything at all. I was getting database errors and/or timing out. It appears to be that individual session with the person trying to post, becomes corrupted and no data is accepted or allowed to be edited.

Would you please let us know what it is, so that others with this problem may use it?

No problem, I was in the middle of typing it out but had to step away.

You have to start with a short piece of the text first - maybe 8 lines. Once the thread is up, edit in the rest a small piece at a time by pasting it in and saving.

If you need to go to the advanced screen to change the thread title or something, delete the entire body and then hit "Go Advanced". It will take you to the editor with your post intact because no text in the body is an error.

It will hang up sometimes or take longer to load - the less you add in each time the better it seems to work.

If anyone has questions, just post here.

I'm disabling quick replies while I do more testing.

Ha! I was wondering where quick reply went on my last post.
If we have to do without it forever, we will survive. :)

Following up on this - I am still unable to edit threads in the Customs for Sale (Individual) section through my PC browser. It works in Tapatalk though.
