I am having a problem that I cannot view any pages or post with my other account, so I created this one. I signed up for a gold account and then didn't renew it so I don't know if that is what is causing the problem but I just wanted to go back to a regular account.

In any case, when I log in, no matter what page I go to, i get this message:

pjenkins00, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I can't even view the list of forums. I hope that I am posting this in the correct forum, if not, mods pls feel free to move it. Again, the username with the problem is "pjenkins00". Also, please note that I did attempt to search to see if anyone else had a similar problem and I searched in the faqs, but I didn't find anything in the faqs and the search functionality for the site seems to be down at the moment.

TIA,

Pete

You can forget about ever being pjenkins00 again -- you ignored the big red warnings and gave that account an email address that won't work so you can't receive and respond to the confirming email to activate that account. You're stuck with pjenkins000.

I believe the email address that was registered with that account worked, but it was my school address, and I lost access to it when I dropped out of school; I didn't intentionally choose a non-working address. But if that's the way it is, ok, I just didn't realize that was what had happened.

oh... ok, i didn't realize that's what i had put down because it wouldn't let me view my profile when i logged in. i was just trying to defeat the webcrawling spambots while still allowing real people to email me... thanks for clearing that up for me.

p.s. i tried to register that address with yahoo and it says it's already taken  i wonder who would register an address like that?

edit:

p.p.s for anyone who might happen to read this thread and have the same problem, you can create disposable addresses for free that will automatically forwarded to your regular email at mailnull.com. great service i just discovered
