Unassisted Kryo??? great? or crap?

Thats just the question I asked myself today when I broke the torsion bar on my Kershaw kryo that I have had for about 6 months.... I love the assistedness of the kryo... but having it unassisted is kinda awsome... Its buttery smooth and flicks like nobodys buisness. The only few problems I have with it are; the detent is total crap (go figure). And because of this, I can give it a light flick (not using the thumb studs or flipper) and it will fly out... this can be good but it can also be bad.

What do yall think? and does anyone share the same thought? also who has tried it?

Thanks -Bergermiester

I tried de-assisting a Cryo and it wasn't a successful venture--i.e., floppy blade. It's designed to be AO and I decided it's best to leave well enough alone. You can contact Kershaw and they will send you a new torsion bar.

Well,

If you want to get adventurous.

The Cryo is too small for me. The Cryo 2 however fits my hands much better. It has the same problem as the Cryo though, no detent hole. I'll be trying my hand at adding a detent to make it a manual flipper. I'm also going to add a finger choil and a carbon fiber scale.
