I received an unbelievable gift from our friend from NZ, Duncan (Campbellclanman). I have been lucky to have many incredible supporters here on BF giving me morale strength through my cancer ordeals. One being Duncan. Duncan had been PMing me support, thoughts and prayers as well as nutritional tips to help me out as he's been down this road himself. Thank you Duncan. ;)
A couple days ago I received a package from Duncan via North Dakota. An incredible gift from a very, very generous member. Although I question his sensibility based on the company he keeps. Those fellas in ND seem to be just a bit "off". :D :D :D
Duncan gifted me this sweet 1 of 1 Prototype #73 in beautiful Peach Seed Jigged Bone. The jigging and coloration are out of this world! You really need to see this knife in person to appreciate it. I felt guilty accepting something so nice and wanted to forward it to Duncan because I thought he should be the one enjoying this fine piece. He wouldn't hear of any such idea.
Duncan, I don't know how to fully show my appreciation and gratitude for this gift and for your continued support and friendship. Everyone here is has been so supportive. :D
Thank you my friend.

Bob, a 1 of 1 gift to a 1 of 1 member:thumbup: The knife is a beauty for sure:cool:

Bob, you and Duncan are cut from the same cloth, both stand up guys, I'm glad Duncan (as many others here) are in your corner. They come no finer than Duncan:cool::thumbup:

Enjoy that beauty Bob:)

It's a real honor to have friends such as you and Duncan and so many here on the Porch:cool::cool::cool:

Ooooooo me likey!!! That's some great looking jigging and color. Congrats on the fine gift Bob!

That's a nice knife and a generous gift! I wish you good health!

Duncan, Elliot, Sarah, Kevin and others were also very supportive when I was ill. There's a great bunch of guys and gals on the porch.

that bone has the most amazing depth, and those flat bolster models are cool. Really great gesture :)

A beautiful gift from a real human!! Duncan gives life 100% of himself, and I have always admired him for it! We can learn a lot from him!

The knife is an exceptional piece. I see the certificate is signed by Ken Daniels!! That gives the whole package historical significance.
The partnership of Ken and Bill was still in its idealistic phase at the time, and the knife achieved new highs in the industry, not seen since the days of early Remington and Case products. Fortunately that phase set the pace we are seeing today!!

You have a treasure there, Bob!!!!!

What a great gesture, from a great person. Way to go, Duncan. You may be "down under", but your presence is felt world-wide!

Duncan is one of the kindest, most generous, people you'll ever meet. A great guy summed up in one word - LEGEND! ;) :D

Congratulations Bob, that's a knife to treasure from a special friend :)

that's amazing act of kindness - if you didn't point out he was a New Zealanders, I would have guessed he was Canadian ;)

PS: Guess I haven't been a BF member long enough - I had no idea about the Cancer :( Be strong Bob!

As has been said before, Duncan is just the nicest guy you'd ever want to encounter. I'm loving this thread and couldn't be happier for you, Bob. That's a fine looking knife, right there.

Oh hold on - now that I see the photos you took Bob - can I have that back? :D
I too thought it was a wee treasure - but at the end of a day its a knife, and I find I ABSOLUTELY treasure every knife that is gifted to me - they all mean so very much, so use it Bob, I hope you pass this on when your fingers are so frail that you will be looking at your Grandson one day and say " Son..stay there, I have something for you...."
Have a great day...
I must thank Paul for releasing the knife from his grubby paws - :D, but Paul helped me get that knife to Bob - as he always does...so MASSIVE kudos to Paul here.
Thanks for the kind comments guys:o
