So I was one of the lucky ones from the lottery, made my payment, and started refreshing the tracking.....over and over and over.

I saw this morning that it was Asheville NC bound and knew that my wait was almost over. I rushed to the post office after work, and with light beaming down from the heavens onto the USPS box, the post master handed me my package.

Fast forward 15 minutes later, and a ton of excitement, I cut open the tape and BAM!!! There it is...

Please be the blue scale, please be the blue scale.....

My lucky day for sure!!!!

I just want to thank all y'all at Hinderer Knives for making this possible. I will surely put this blade to good use. I know that some people were not very happy that individuals won who had not contributed to this sub forum (which I have not, until now), but it was not becasue of a lack of endlessly paging through photos and wiping the drool from my chin; but more from not owning one to have any real imput on the matter. That will change as of today. Sorry for the junky Iphone pics, but there will be better to come.

Thanks again!

Agree with your post about not contributing here much unitl now. I received mine this afternoon too. I'll post pics later. Nice Blue Scale.

Best,

Congrats NC!

I believe I can speak for almost everyone when I say, you were certainly welcome to partake in the RHK Forum Before and you certainly are still now that you actually own that fine knife.
I get it. Own one/Use one before sharing stories.
I will say (speaking for me) I despise exclusionary sites, clubs, forums, groups..... ALL are welcome who wish to pull a chair up to the table and share in the experience.
So, Congrats again. Enjoy, I know you will.
Hope to see more of you around these parts now :)

Thanks for sharing! And congratulations on an awesome knife.

That blade grind is definitely growing on me!

Welcome to a great place to share, learn, and drool as you already know

Well, I also was one of the lucky warnie winners. Just picked up my box from the postman. All I can say is thanks all for this nice folder, have a 3 and 3.5 spanto flippers, this covers all the bases, nice and pointy!

Congratulations! Beautiful knife mister. That is one "buddy" that will never let you down.

I appriciate the warm welcome. The wharnie has already processed several racks of raw spare ribs, 10 onions, 8 tomatoes, celery, and a truely tasking chore.....slicing a pineapple upside down cake. I was left a nomad after KAI retreated, but I will definately be lurking around here more.

Thanks again for the welcome guys.

Welcome Nccnc from a fellow wharnie and BBQ rib fan, now that's putting it to good use ! That Ti frame will serve you a whole lot better than that alum knife.

Dang, that AFO is catchin' some slack here. Understandable though. I have been rotating through the AFO, Umnumzaan, zt0560, and a Military lately. The wharnie will dominate the pocket for the next few weeks though I'm sure. I am a machinst by trade, and I think it will be right at home at the shop.

All of you winners (and future Hinderer owners) are welcome. Lurk, post, do whatever in between, just don't make an ass out of yourself and all will be good. Congrats to all of you, the XM-18 Wharnie is a great knife and I am glad to see some "fresh faces", the more the merrier.
