Unboxing of GSO 4.7 CPM 154

Thanks for the video! I an envious, as I'm currently waiting for my 4.7 in Cmp154.

Thanks for taking the time to make a vid. I love watching a good unboxing.

I'm seriously not trying to be a prick here, but didn't you cash out and refund your order(s)?

Regardless, I hope you enjoy the knife. Will you keep it?

I tried on 3 seperate occasions, via email, to request a refund. Each of the requests was for a refund "within 30 days" if I had not received the knife. The first two emails went unanswered and it wasn't until Jordyn emailed me finally with the last "30 day" request that I was told 'it would be shipping' around that time request. So I held out, gave it another week beyond the 30 days and finally got a shipping notice. So long story short, there is the vid. Yes, I have a 3.5 and a 4.1 GSO already from years ago and this 4.7 rounds it out. I seriously doubt I would ever order another one though  .

I'm surprised about the trouble with the refund, but I hope you're happier with the knife than with the cash.

I wouldn't blame you if you never buy direct from the company again, but I hope you enjoy the 3 GSO's you have.

Take care, winger.

Thanks man, I really wanted a CPM 154 but momma said I spent to much on knives *pfft*

Hope you love the blade if not I'll pm you my address so you can send it my way. :)

What a beauty!

I'd love a big SK, but I think the 4.7 is really the other knife I need. (Have 4.1 Pre-ordered)

With Peter's Heat Treat and this thickness, what do you guys suppose the toughness of CPM's 154 will be like? If used as is intended, should the user fear chips and easy rolls? 3V delta looks promising in regards to corrosion resistance, but I might be happy to have a stainless on me since it gets really humid where I am.

Mine's been plenty tough. It only rolled or chipped when I hit metal or rock with the edge, and a CPM-154 edge can be repaired waaaaay easier than 3V or 20CV. No steel will prevent edge damage if it contacts metal or silica or whatever.

I've used CPM 154 on other knives and the performance is good.
It is not the absolute best at anything in particular but it is a very well balanced and serviceable steel.
