The charge for "CW" (Customer supplied Wood or micarta)is $35.00.
All material is subject to quotation and RMK approval. CW material is supplied at customer's risk, should the material crack or become damaged during or after construction, Randall is not responsible for replacement. A signed waiver form is required.
If stag or micarta are a standard feature on a model, the difference between the RMK handle material charge and the CW charge applies. For instance, if a customer supplies his CW-wood for a Model #8-4" where stag is the standard handle material Randall supplies on this model, the difference between the RMK stag charge ($30.00) and CW charge ($35.00) applies, which is $5.00.
Customer supplied micarta, channel-cut for the full tang knives must be cut to exact specifications. The CW charge on full tang knives is $10.00 which is the difference between RMK black micarta ($25.00) and the CW ($35.00)
If the material is G10 micarta, there is a fee of $15.00, in addition to the CW $35.00 charge. This applies to the ½" tang knives only, such as the Model #1, Model #3, Model #8. The exception are the full tang knives, (7/8"), where the G10 material is received channel-cut to spec. and is not subject to the additional G10 fee.
Legal Elephant ivory (CW2) and fossilized walrus (CW3)is subject to quotation and RMK approval. Elephant ivory starts at $45.00 and fossil walrus is in the $60.00 plus range. Legal documentation is required.
The key word here is "acceptable" handle material. If your handle material is questionable or needs special adaptation, expect a special quote from Randall on the pricing.
