We have sixteen (16) maybe twenty (20) interested in a special pre-paid run of the Foxy Folly in a 17" to 18" length with standard karda and chakma, wood handles, steel mounted, no habaki bolsters, no cho creep, 24 to 28 ounces in weight, and convexed edges as follows...

1- Yvsa, 1, maybe 2.
2- Aardvark, 1
3- HollowDweller, 1
4- Rio Jim, 1
5- Bri in Chi, 1
6- BruiseLeee, 1
7- Wildmanh, Heber, 1
8- tsf, 1
9- Bruce of 1, 1
10- Dave Hahn, 1
11- Danny in Japan, 1
12- Svashtar, Norm, 1
13- Geoffrey Raiser, 1
14- Westley Hoenshel, 1
15- John Satchel, 1
16- Anon Y. Mouse, 1, changed from maybe to definitely in.:D

17- Munk, strong maybe, 1
18- Arch Angel, strong maybe, 1
19- Dr. Dan, strong maybe, 1
20- Thomas Linton, strong maybe, 1

These would be started in a month to six weeks from now after the YCS projet has came in and been proven to everyone's liking.
Edit:
Or whenever Bill says it's a go.

It used to be that a half dozen (6) requesting a special run was enough. How many would we need pre-paid to do this and would you even consider doing it? Please say Yes!:D

Edit:
That's two that's backed out so far.:(

Edit:
Get to add two new ones this morning!!!! Does my heart good, it does!!!!:D

Edit:
The price has been asked about on these. I replied:
"It's purely a guess but I'm thinking $150 -$175, depending on how nice they are and how close the kamis followed instructions."....
....
I think that's fair for a special order with the requirements we've put forth.
I had rather pay the $175.00 for a really nice job than the $150.00 for a mediocre job. How about you guys?;)

Added two more stron maybes, awaiting confirmation about the prepay before adding to the firm list.:D

Yvsa, a long time ago Bill said he was too sick to do special orders, but maybe if Yangdu wanted, but not him, he said.

I would write Yangdu and tell her exactly what you want.

I hope this comes off, Old Man. I really do. One more blade for the Gipper.

Dan has begged off, he's not ready at this time.:( If anyone else wants out let me know soon. If this project doesn't fly I'm going to get the Khukuri House to make me one anyway. I really want one of these khukuris and am willing to go a long ways in getting it.

Munk, Bill will see this sooner or later. He can point it out to Yangdu if he wants to make the money and work for the kamis, after all they were clamoring for work just a short while ago.
It'll go, or not. I've done about all I can do.:)

Yvsa, remember to add really, really LIGHT to the requirements.
Thanks Aardvark!!!!:D Damnit, I read the initial post umpteen times and thought I had it all, just added the 24 to 28 ounces in weight requirements. ;) :)

This is enough for a run but we need to finish up the Sarge and YCS in the works. Too many special orders at the same time does not work well.

*That goes without saying!!!!
I think everyone wants to see how they turn out anyway before anymore special orders.

Whooooo Hooooooo!!!!
We get our short Foxy Folly's!!!! :D  :D  :D

Now I will be able to quit Lusting. At least over this issue. :footinmou :D

Good. Maybe by the time its turn is front of the line I'll have enough bread to get in too.

The Foxy Folly should have been at the head of the list, certainly above another run of the YCS. Why is that? Life isn't fair I guess. These priorities are mixed up. Everyone knew the Foxy Folly was important to Yvsa.

Yvsa, put me down as a strong 'maybe'. You know what is holding me up.

There is no question that ANYONE ADMIRING KHUKURIS SHOULD WANT A FOXY FOLLY. and that unlike many specials, as beautiful as they've been, this blade promises to be much more useful.

Something easy to carry, and because of length and the fullers. strikes hard enough for wood harvesting despite being light.

The edge better be done right, though.

Yvsa,

What was the estimated price on these again?

Dan, it's purely a guess but I'm thinking $150 -$175, depending on how nice they are and how close the kamis followed instructions.

Yvsa,
I really want in on this special project. Please count me as an interested party that needs to get his YCS special first and see if I like how IT is done first. If they do the YCS well and if I can convince my Lady, I am in. :D

Okay, be sure and let me know when the time comes so I can put you on the list as a certainity. We have enough maybes now.:)

Yvsa, I know who I'm voting for President, I just don't know how much money I'll have.
