Bill, the whining, pleading, shameless begging, and temper tantrums of forumites ( the ones flying the Jolly Roger ) led me to re-sticky the Tips, Tricks, and Useful Finds thread.

The same bunch of pirates said if one sticky had to go, they thought the Is Uncle Bill and honest man should be the one. I concur the Safety, and the Ordering thread need to be retained, and the issue of your honesty has been more than settled for a long, long time.

Don't want to do it without your approval, so I've now done the courtesy of bringing it to your attention and will await your response whatever it is.

For putting an important thread back where it is handy and for beseeching Bill to remove that thread that has hung on for much too long I thank you!

If anyone comes in questioning Bill's honesty we can just hoist him/her up alongside the Jolly Roger, after bringing the honesty thread from where ever it has migrated too to their attention.:p ;) :D
 
From someone who rarely posts, but has lurked around the Cantina for a long time, I think that thread is well placed as a sticky at the top. I've bought a dozen khuks from Uncle Bill and never read that thread until today. Never needed to.

It serves as a collection of "letters from satisfied customers," like I've never seen. It doesn't just attest to honesty, but customer service and satisfaction, from most of the Cantina, all around the world. To a potential first-time buyer, or someone who clicks on the forum link from the HI web site, it may make the difference in a sale. It also helps separate the level of satisfaction in HI, from some of the other khuk companies with web sites. It can be hard for a newbie to determine whether they are dealing with a reputable company. I don't like the title of the thread, but it's not there for regulars. I read the title and think, "Of course UB is an honest man! Am I?" -- Jim

Rio makes a good case for this being moved to the "testimonnials" section on the HI store site. I think we're at a shoortage of folks 2 do that, but I have seen Beo lurkin here and there.

Well, it can be found by searching no problem, but if you lock it, that assures we don't see it at the top anymore.
 
Had it locked, but then it went back to 1/04. Posted to bring it btt, but left it open so it could be moved.
 
You know, the testimonials in the thread are actually a great idea, but I think what everyone objects to (including me) is the question in the thread title.

How about keeping it stuck at the top and simply renaming it "Testimonials from satisfied HI customers" or something similar?

Even if it gets unstuck and moves somewhere else, I think that thread title should be changed. You can't be here more than a week or two and not automatically know the answer to that question!
