Well guys I'm back with a more in-depth knowledge of Pagawa (my 20"ANG KHOLA)! I received a full-fledged education this weekend. I am probably preaching to the choir here (and yes I'm a Southern Baptist too) but Uncle bill thought some of you would enjoy this. I had a pile of wood that needed to be broken down to "kindling size". I was drooling at the chance to put Pagawa to the test so early Saturday morning I began my education. I started slowly so I could get for this knife. This is my first HI knife so I can't speak for them all but, if you have ever held a knife that was alive in your hand then you know how complete this makes you feel. I was soon in a rhythm that was to say the least comfortable. The pieces I was splitting were of different sizes and most were pieces of larger pieces that had been split initially with a maul. So diameter varied widely. Oak was the mainstay but there was some cherry and sweet gum in the pile as well. The oak split the best due to its straight grains. The sweet gum was the worst b/c it was twisted and wouldn't have split well with any other tool either. As I stated, I started slow and easy but as my confidence grew and, my previous concepts of splitting wood with a knife were demolished. I found my self-learning the limitations I had were mine not the knife's. The harder I swung the bigger the pieces were! I have retired my hatchet to the barn! This knife is awesome a real workhorse. My wrist needed to rest on occasion but the knife never flinched. I now have enough kindling to get me through several months but I will chop more just to use Pagawa more! Yes I am hooked on HI and yes I will be back for more as soon as I find the allowance in my budget. I will say what has been said many times on this forum. Uncle Bill is the man! The standard of customer service he sets is unheard of. If you are in the market for the best from the best drop him a line.
