I have been reading this forum for a while now and finally was able to obtain my very own HI masterpiece. Uncle bill hooked me up with a 20" AK "Pagawa",(yes I named it!) I want to share my gratitude to Uncle Bill.I could copy and paste quotes from just about every member here and they would reflect my own admiration for Uncle Bill. He has helped me to find the perfect knife for me, and yes I will be back to order more knives in the future!
My jobs varry from day to day so mounting Pagawa to one "system" won't work for me so what I need is a Kxdex sheath for my knife. uncle Bill said this was the place to look. So here I am.

This young man, an EMT as you might gather, has been been fighting floods and the devastation they left in North Carolina for too long.

I told him there were forumites who might be able to help him with his sheath.

Chiro, where are you?

Given your geographic location you need to call Frank Sigmon/Edge Guard. He lives in Granit Falls, NC. His scabbards are used by many active duty SEALs. His number is 704-396-7307. He is a great guy that can give you a lot of input over what works and what doesn't. Top notch gear.

Good Luck,

ts

Well guys I'm back with a more in-depth knowledge of Pagawa (my 20"ANG KHOLA)! I received a full-fledged education this weekend. I am probably preaching to the choir here (and yes I'm a Southern Baptist too) but Uncle bill thought some of you would enjoy this. I had a pile of wood that needed to be broken down to "kindling size". I was drooling at the chance to put Pagawa to the test so early Saturday morning I began my education. I started slowly so I could get for this knife. This is my first HI knife so I can't speak for them all but, if you have ever held a knife that was alive in your hand then you know how complete this makes you feel. I was soon in a rhythm that was to say the least comfortable. The pieces I was splitting were of different sizes and most were pieces of larger pieces that had been split initially with a maul. So diameter varied widely. Oak was the mainstay but there was some cherry and sweet gum in the pile as well. The oak split the best due to its straight grains. The sweet gum was the worst b/c it was twisted and wouldn't have split well with any other tool either. As I stated, I started slow and easy but as my confidence grew and, my previous concepts of splitting wood with a knife were demolished. I found my self-learning the limitations I had were mine not the knife's. The harder I swung the bigger the pieces were! I have retired my hatchet to the barn! This knife is awesome a real workhorse. My wrist needed to rest on occasion but the knife never flinched. I now have enough kindling to get me through several months but I will chop more just to use Pagawa more! Yes I am hooked on HI and yes I will be back for more as soon as I find the allowance in my budget. I will say what has been said many times on this forum. Uncle Bill is the man! The standard of customer service he sets is unheard of. If you are in the market for the best from the best drop him a line.

Would anyone mind not mentioning their brand as Catholick,or Southern Babtist. They are such a negitive.Hindu and Buddhist are part of the forum.Zorasterism would be relevant. We had one of those born agains recently. If I could pick up a flash sight picture,he would have been born again.Assumming .45 Cal. slugs would not interfere with his religion. It will interfere with his ability to function.

Ommmm…. We are all one.

Except you. ?????

You and your faith are welcome in my eyes, Rogue EMT. Rusty says this forum is like the bar scene in star wars. And I suspect even the Ghost will hoist a tankard with an interesting rogue.

Thanks Howard I do feel very welcome here. Where else can I tell someone how wonderful a 20" AK feels and not have them run in fear? Ghost six I understand your point and it was not my intention to convert anyone I was simply identifying myself. I am also an EMT but that doesn't mean other professions are wrong! Life is variety! Uncle Bill invited me and I feel welcome. I am preparing for a long weekend in the woods with Pagawa so I will be posting the results soon (Monday).

We are all brothers and all are welcome here.
My advice based on 66 years of a not so easy life is to do your best to love one another. If we are not capable of this then at least we should be able to extend courtesy and respect. And here's the first line of my "canned" email signature:

Blessings to you and yours.

Welcome Rogue,

You'll find that Ghostsix is rather sensitive and utterly opinionated. He is also a great asset to this forum as he always keeps people thinking and on their toes. Everyone is welcome here.

Thanks Jaeger, I feel very much at home here. I have a certain passion for knives and especially, large user friendly models. There is a certain comfort level here. There is no competition like on other forums. Except who can get their hands on the most Knives! I think Uncle Bill is the reason behind this he runs such a great "family business" with his excellent demeanor. He posts specials that most dealers would only hold out for "The select few". Everyone is an equal. I look forward to ordering many more blades from Bill and learning from the others here on the forum.
