Here is a great khukuri made and marked by Sanu which won him kami of the week bonus. It is a takeoff of a Sherpa style but it strays too far to be called a Sherpa style so I guess we will call it Sanu's kami of the week special.
It is 17.5 inches overall, 1/2 inch thick, 2 inches wide and weighs 2 pounds 2 ounces. The fit is perfect -- better than Bura does. The finish is magic stone mirror that is typical of Sanu. The blade is 59 - 60 Rc. It has a unique pommel as you can see for yourself. Here is one buttcap that will not be coming loose in this life. This is an excellent khukuri by anybody's standards. The karda and chakma are excellent.
The scabbard is very well made by the sarki with no name and tooled with the daphne (pheasant), Nepal's national bird. The frog is the 100 year HI superfrog.
Take the knife for $175 delivered to your door.
Call or email if interested.
