Hey everybody.....

Sorry to have been slacking off my duties, but there has been a lot of SOG......I have a whole BIG Bunch of good news about new knives, gear and stuff........

When I got back from the RAT school I had a bunch of cookbook business to take care of and then the weather got squirrelly......The Beckerhead camp site took a real beating......We got roughly twenty saw logs, a pile of firewood roughly five feet high and well over twenty feet long and we burned about twenty tons of slash.......The job was intimidating enough that I did not even think about unsheathing the new MACHAX proto and went right to the Stihl Saws.....

I hope that tomorrow I will be getting some pics of the new MACHAX, and THREE Tweeners both at rest and in action.......I have samples also of the New Model BRUTE and PATROL MACHETE.......The last two are going to be made overseas in 1085 and the pics you will see are of Pre, Pre protos, the grinds are of the wrong sort and the edge geometry on the PATROL MACHETE is WAAAAAY off........

Prize stuff will be at the post office first thing friday morning.........

If I can collar son John pics will be made tomorrow and posted tomorrow.....

The Becker head camp will sport a brand new composting field sanitary facility and even Moose will not likely burn all the wood that is available........

I am really looking forward to the Beckerhead weekend.....

All Best....

Damn excellet news I can't wait for those new blades.

One question Ethan, when will all these knives be available....

Thanks for keeping us updated

Welcome back Ethan, good to see you back. Really looking forward to those photos.

One more question....

What kind of sheaths will these blades have?
I hope there all Glass filled nylon

Welcome back!

Brute AND Patrol Machete...... Somebody pinch me.... I must be dreaming!!

Thanks Guys...

Tweeners and the New Machax will be available at SHOT in january.........The Patrol Machete and the Brute may come sooner but I must consult the oracles in Olean to get a better idea.......

The sheath question is ongoing......Machax will probably be a pouch type as is the Brute.....Tweeners I hope wiil be either injection molded Kydex or Nylon......

We were so lucky about the weather, we had a bunch of little touchdowns on the place, something skipped over the house after landing fifty yards to our west and then landing fifity yards to the east and wiping out two 18 to 24in oaks and a largish maple......very freaky........We lost power for three days and the phones for two........

We count ourselves extraordinarily lucky, so many lost so much, so fast......Freaky.........

All Best....

let the waiting begin (officially) !!!!

glad you're back, everything's ok.. and specially glad nothing happened to the protos.. :D

take care,

It always amazes me that a single post from the man sets all our hearts a flutter.

Are you working on a different cookbook or "the" cookbook? If I didn't tell you before Ethan, my wife knew who you were before I did. She is from Korea and never had any cookbooks in English; when we were engaged my mother gave her "The Joy" and she loves it still. When I started buying Beckers, she said "I know who Ethan Becker is." I was like, wtf, how do you know? Then she pulled the cookbook out and was less opposed to me buying your knives.

Hey E, I'll be seein' ya, soon as I get back from Texas. I need to come down and help out, but my weekend is covered up. :(. But hey, I'm supposed to be in town until June, so, HELL YEAH!!

So fellas, ya'll happy with the new lineup? :D

Glad you're back E.

oh, wait, knives?

Welcome back, Ethan.
I enjoyed that interview at E2E.

Glad to hear they weren't any more than just close calls on your end. Too many people weren't as lucky, for sure.
Looking forward to the pics. Unfortunately I won't make the gathering, either. :(
