My Dad gave this to me back in the early '80s. I damaged the tip at somepoint along the line and stuck it away thinking I had ruined it. When I started getting back into traditional knives, I dug this knife back out and asked on the Maint. forum if they thought it could be repaired.
I found a great local guy who sharpened my kitchen knives who was very excited about fixing up this knife. He refused to take any money for the work!
He kept telling me what a great knife this was with the rosewood and that it was made in the USA not one of the newer models from China.
