Uncle Henry question

I stepped into a small fishing/hunting store near where I just moved and found that they had a number of 285UH trappers and 834UH stockman that were still USA made. I just wanted to know if they have any collector value that would make it worth trying to work a deal for all of them so I can trade them later? I've looked on the site for approx values so know what to offer, and will most likely puck up one of each anyways for my collection, just want to know if those that appreciate these would already have them or if this is a good chance at freeing them from the confines of a locked display case.

It was nice that the owner knew which of his knives was China Taylor and which were not. He laughed hard when I asked him how much he was selling the display Case for- that won't go cheap, but I'll keep my eye on it on years to come.

Thanks for any advice,
Kris

What was the box these Uncle Henry knives came in? The older the better. These finds are getting more and more scarce. Brown boxes are the best ones.

I think they were black boxes, but am not familiar with this brand to remember with certainty. Not looking to trade them for a Hanson Sunfish, just want to see if I would be sitting on them for a while with no bites. I can always put one each away for my daughter and son as well. Never a waste getting good knives.

Thank you for the responses so far.

I'd pick em up and hold onto them for sure. Or you could always send them to me. ;)
