Uncle Henry UH171 Questions

Hi all,
I have collected Schrade knives for years now, buying and selling. I have had and sold several of these 171UH knives. Recently I came across one that had an aluminum pommel. All of the others I have had were brass. Is this a rare knife? Also, there have been serial numbers on the hilts of all of these. Is there a way to find the age of the knife from this number? The number on this knife is very low. Thanks in advance for any info.

Thanks for the info. Seems like I have one of the early ones. The sheath was written on with the date of 1970, so I guess I assume it must be from then.
