I think I can see the difference between the Uncle and Mr. Mofo. Is there anything other than the blade catch? Why did Jerry decide to make the Uncle (ie, no blade catch) in the first place

Thickness! Mr. and Uncle mean something
and Mojo and Mofo mean something.
One has to do with the catch, and the other has to do with the thickness.
Don't ask me which though, it just makes my head hurt, because I had sell my Mofo.... I think... Yes! Mofos are thinner...
Damn, here comes another migrane. ;)

Eric Isaacson requested the Uncle mod (grinding off the blade catch) on his as an idea for a Variant. After seeing it, Jerry decided to offer it to the rest of the world.

MoJo = 0.25" with full-height flat grind

MoFo = 0.22" with 3/4 saber flat grind

Mine is the Uncle MoFo LE, with zero edge:

I THANK PORKERSON!!!

uncle mojo = .25" thick full flat grind w/o blade catch
mr. mojo = .25" thick full flat grind w/blade catch

uncle mofo = .220 saber ground w/o blade catch
mr. mofo = .220 saber ground w/blade catch

mefo = etching error that put mefo instead of mofo in the text.

Were the blade lengths on the LE models the same as for the combat grade? In the side-by-side photos on Bad Mojo, the LE's look smaller.

I'm just a little surprised. Do some folks NOT want a blade catch on their knife?

I love my Uncle Mofo cause he ain't got no knub:D Just my personal preference:thumbup:

That is correct. I prefer the simple lines of the Uncle over the Mr.
When Jerry posted the pics of the Mister Mofo, I called him and asked if he could make one without the Blade Catch....walla....the Uncle came into being. (however, Jerry did all the work, it was just my sketchy idea that he made real)

:D:D

Actually Eric just didn't want the bottle opener and opted for a corkscrew but Jerry just couldn't make himself do it so he just ground it off!!!! ;)

That was a joke, wine coolers don't have corks!!
