I couldn't crop any closer or get closer for better identification.

SCARY! LOL!
My wife would hyperventilate!
Are you gonna leave it there? How much rent are you going to charge it if you do?

I might start shootn if Id see that. Hell with the knives. I'd have to kill him. Couldnt let that livn in the house. I let the little ones live-but that's called a threat.

Very cool spider. I've seen some pretty big wolf spiders here in Washington, but never hand size.

All spiders are venomous, none are poisonous.

Actually, that statement is not true. Wolf spiders are venomous, and their venom IS poisonous. Here is info from www.wolfspiders.org,

Wolf Spiders bites

Wolf spiders are venomous and their venom is poisonous. Bites that penetrates the skin can cause pain, swelling and itchiness. Some people only experience the symptoms for a few minutes, while others get a wound that takes a few days to heal.

The bite may in itself be infectious if proper actions are not taken. A survey showed (Isbister & Framenau, 2004)3 that the median duration of acute pain from wolf spider bites were 10 minutes, and the majority of bite effects were due to mechanical trauma, wolf spider bites should be avoided.

If are bitten by a Wolf Spider the chances are that it is a rather large specimen, as smaller specimens do not have the power to penetrate skin. If the bite has penetrated your skin, and it is a wolf spider, you will probably experience a swelling around the site of the bite.

Only spiders I worry about are the Brown Recluse, Black Widow, Sydney Funnel Web.... That's about it. Black Widow not so much, they're very docile, and hang out in plain sight on a web, unlike Brown Recluse. And no Sydney Funnel Web's here in the USA.

That looks like a tai-pan from Australia. Don't go anywhere near it, it's very poisonous and aggressive.

Oh wait, the tai-pan is a snake.

Kev- It's a female Thin-legged Wolf Spider with her egg sack.
Remember that spiders do not bite unless they are trapped.
Nice pix! Thanks.

Don't kill it!!!

Spiders is good. They eats the cockroaches.

EdwOOd is right...as long as it's not one of the spiders whose venom can kill a person (or you're allergic), you have nothing to worry about. She and her kids will keep your house insect free.

Haha, and thanks for the responses.

Okay, this one was in my mailbox yesterday. Not really big but also wonder what it is? Brown Recluse maybe? Just a guess as I've only seen pics of those
