In the "to funny" department, my nearly 70 year old Mother of 3, Grandmother of 3 and Great-Grandmother of 2 (soon to be 3), received a letter in the mail this morning, asking her to enlist in the U.S. Army!

Last fall she took a exercise class through a local Community College, which I'm sure is how she got on the mailing lists the Recruiters must be using, but the family got a good laugh out of it.

I wonder if the A.A.R.P. has started a SPECOPS Unit? :D

yup she walks in with some fresh brownies or cookies and looks you in the eyes-and ask's-"you wouldnt lie to grams would you"

just dont lie to her-if you do she will pull out her cold steel /strider ripoff knife and get granny on your fanny-

please pardon the apparent shouting i'm gonna do here cuz it's easier to type that way For me since i only got half a brain left (I WONDER WHAT MY EXCUSE WAS BEFORE?) ANYHOW, IF MOM HAS A SENSE OF HUMOR MAYBE YA OUGHTA TRY TO TALK HER INTO GOING TO THE LOCAL RECRUITER'S OFFICE WITH THE CORRESPONDANCE IN HER HAND AND DEMAND THAT SHE BE GUARANTEED SPECOPS WORK, PREFERABLY WITH DELTA FORCE AS A
.50 SNIPER. IT'D ALSO BE GREAT IF SHE STATES THAT HER MOTHERHOOD STATUS SHOULD ALLOW HER BEASTFEEDING BREAKS DURING BASIC TRAINING. I GUESS THE BEST WAY TO GO ABOUT THIS IS TO BRING ALONG A PAL WITH A HIDDEN CAMERA AND A FAKE CHILD THAT CONSTANTLY COMPLAINS OF BEING HUNGRY AND HAVING A "POOPY DIAPER"
I DUNNO, THAT'S WHAT MY HALFBRAIN'S COMIN' UP WITH, BUT IT STILL SEEMS LIKE IT'D BE FUN, NO?
 
Oh yeah I think it's be priceless to get a vid of her going to an office and asking if she can enlist..... and really wanting to do the specops and what not and when they keep telling her no then ask them why they asked if she would join and then show the letter....

And tell them that she thinks they should uphold their end of the deal...

VG, we think to much alike! (kinda scared of that though!)

I did joke about taking her down to the local recuiter just to see the looks on their face, but she won't do it.

God how funny would that be!!!!!!!!!!!!
