I realize this is a strange request on bladeforums, but somehow it seems appropriate here on the Buck forum. I have an Uncle Tony, who I have felt an affection for for since I was a child. He is warm, understanding, and down-to-earth. He is half italian, half polish, and despite all the jokes, is a wonderful person, AND a wonderful cook. I found out today that not only is his heart failing, but so are his kidneys. I would ask that those of you willing hold him in the light (for non-Friends, remember him in your prayers). I will ask my meeting on Sunday; but his children, grandchildren, and family need support now.

Thank you,

Peace, Al

Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes.
Then if he gets mad, he'll be a mile away, and barefoot!

Favorite uncles are very special angelic beings. My prayers ascend for this one of yours.

My thanks to you all. Tony was just sent home from the hospital, with the proviso that he not be left alone, at all, as his kidneys could fail completely at any time. He has also had numerous bypasses, and has been told he can't have any more.

It helps to remember good things - I will always remember, as will my children, the best lasagna in the world. Man, what a masterpiece! Also a garlic salad dressing that would not only bring tears to your eyes, but the eyes of anyone you kissed.

Peace, Al

Our prayers and thoughts are with Uncle Tony Al. I hope he is comfortable and in no pain.

neat memories Al. hold on to those and share them with Tony while you can. I just visited my Mom's mom (my grandmother) who got a reprieve for the moment. We thought she was counting down the last days. I flew out to say goodbye and I had such a good visit with her. Talking about my mom's dad (my grandfather) who died long before I was born and my grandmother's childhood, courtship etc. Was a neat time for both of us. She is out of the hospital and seems somewhat stable right now.

My prayers are with you and the family
