"Unclosing" a thread

Hi,

Tried relisting a knife in the For Sale section with a new thread but closed the old thread first without removing the attachments that had been loaded from my computer first.

Now, I am trying to relist the same knife pictures in a new thread and get the message:
"You have already used attached files in this so and so thread"

So, it looks like I needed to remove the attachment pics first, before I closed the old thread because it appears I can't reuse them at this point...

Is there a way for me to "un" close a thread?
Or, perhaps a mod needs to do it?

Hope I am being clear.

Thanks, any help would be appreciated... :)

You should be able to unlock your thread the same way you locked it.

Otherwise the "thread tools" function should allow you.

Or click User CP, scroll down (left side) to the bottom and click on "attachments" then clear/delete the ones you want to reattach.
We can lock/unlock our threads and edit titles ourselves without need for a mod like other boards. Be sure to lock your old sales when done.

Thanks Karda! :D

I initially closed via an "edit" and an option at the bottom left of the page.

But thanks for the "thread tools" directive located near the top right hand side of the page.

So for other members:
Thread tool > Moderation Tools (click on/off "close thread") > Perform action

Just like they do it downtown...

Outstanding!

Hmm.. was not aware of this either, thank you.

Appreciate your time to post and help.

FWIW, you don't have to delete the attachments to post them in other threads. Just right click the pic, copy image location (address), and paste the addy into image tags in the new thread. Attachments can be linked independent of original post.

Thanks, another great tip!

Geez, the longer I am here the dumber I feel.
