Uncomfortable CS Ultralock

I was window shopping at the local knife store and decided to check out the CS Recon 1 and AK-47 to get the feel of them. I was pretty disappointed with the ultralock. The Recon 1 was ok but still a bit sticky to close and the peg was fairly uncomfortable. The AK opened well enough but closing it required fingers on both sides and considerable force. It almost felt like the peg tilted if you just used one side. Is this normal for the knives, do they need to be broken in, or did the store happen to accidentally put to lemons out on display?

My Cold Steel AK-47 was a bit stiff at first but quickly smoothed in, it is very easy to close using just one finger on the lock stud.

There have been a few threads on the issue of the Ultralock needing to be broken in.

Some the threads had some pretty good photos showing a relatively rough level of final finishing of the contact surfaces of the lock.

I have found considerable variation in operating ease of new knives - My CS Recon1 and BM 710's came smooth as but SOG Trident was awful till I cycled it ??? times - then it worked like magic
