Just finished this up.
Undecided ,kitchen , boning out deer and elk, cleaning fish. Whats your poison. ?
Well it did dinner great cutting up ribs ,and veggies, and did a batch of cleaning up walleyes , flexed great ,took the skin off super.Edge kept great.
IT has to be the sharpest to date, Done in Aldos. ATS 34 Steel ,started out with 1/8 and took it down slow.Tapered it out. Finished up thin on the Kmg
Heat treated . couple times over, did it up right.
Grips Brn. Micarta from a BF.member.
Pouch to keep it away from fingers.
6 1/4 blade 10 3/4 oal. 7/8 at the grip edge for blade hight.

Sounds like it is a utility knife - already using it for a variety of things. You like the ATS 34 then? Do you heat treat yourself? Looks like it will hold up well. Good functional knife.
 
Sorry been with the wife , not much time to reply.
Yes heat treated per listed ways. By me ,Tested at 59-60 .quench 1850 to 1950,hold 30 mts. quench warm oil /harden at 300 2 hr. twice .dry ice 1 hr. then room temp.
Theres several ways to do most steels . It works holds does the job at hand.
I like ATS 34 Sharpens easy holds an edge flex,s nice.
Done 29 walleyes , 30 perch , just a light touch on the edge , still to sharp to test your finger on ..
I think AEB-L is my new one, still testing on a charter boat here hoping to have another sunday to see how it did at the docks..
If the winds stay south fishing should be great..I will have my own test if the wife comes home and. We we get my new fuel pump under 7 pounds ,I will fish.
