Billed as performance apparel for athletes, this microfiber underwear is used by our guys in Iraq under their vests. Read an article about it in a military newspaper. The T-shirts get rave reviews on epinions and other places.

Keeps you cooler than cotton when hot- and does a great job when cold.

These shirts really work, and are getting easier to find locally. Got my first one from brigadequartermaster.com, Sports Authority has them too. Not on sale, and in demand. Worth it.

Got 3 of them, living in 'em til spring. Maybe year round.

Anyone else in on this stuff?

I use them for cycling or outdoor MA training. You have to get a little bit bigger of a size than usual though. I wear a medium shirt, but their medium feels like a python as wrapped me up.

I haven't done the underamour thing yet, but I plan on it. My buddy who is a highschool football coach swears by the stuff. Keeps him cool during August two-a-days and keeps him toasty when the weather gets chilly in October. I don't need much in the way of breathability or keeping cool. However, I really like close fitting under shirts for my morning workouts. I have an old short sleeve JL that I wore when I was in college on the rowing crew. Man, talk about soaking up the sweat AND keeping you warm. I wear a sleeveless tee over it at the gym so I don't look like a go-go dancer at an alternative livestyle night club. Probably the best 25 bucks I ever spent on athletic clothing. I've had the sucker for 6 years will no problems in wear or tear.

Guy is a kazillionaire now because of this stuff. Haven't tried it yet. I'm not on what you'd call the cutting edge when it comes to my clothes.

I am a police officer and use it under my bulletproof vest they wick away the sweat. My only problem with them is the price $46 bucks for a turtle neck. But Starter makes some stuff that is almost exactly the same and quite a bit cheaper , I got mine (Starter) at Walmart 3 turtlenecks for $33 last spring when they were clearing out the winter stuff. And both types of t shirts are very comfortable.

There's also something like it called "Elite Issue" which has been accepted by USMC, and has the special number they accept things with.

Just forgot where they sell it... :o

Absolutely love my under armor. Got the stuff issued to me when I shipped out for Enduring Freedom, and again for Iraqi Freedom. Not only that, also got issued Patagonia Capilene long underwear, gents, that there's some good stuff. Quantum difference between my latter days in the military compared to the "good old days" regarding quality of field gear. Spent my first six months in country in Desert Shield/Desert Storm running around in an old "John Wayne" steel pot before we finally got issued kevlars. Nowadays, kevlars are beginning to be considered "old school". :D
